• Our History

  • SRD Bodyguard Services owner and primary Executive Protection specialist is a former professional athlete and Law Enforcement Officer who has moved up through the ranks in both his corporate and athletic challenges.

Born in crime infested 7th ward of New Orleans, and growing up without my real father, my Grandfather was the biggest role model in my life. He was a hard working man who drove a produce truck to support our family.  Watching him as I grew up, it instilled in me an uncompromising work ethic and the value of team work. This drive that began very early in my life and lasted from my time in PeeWee sports to High School sports and even until today.

After graduating from Joseph S Clark Senior High School in 1982 without any scholarship offers, I took the initiative to write a letter to attend Eastern Arizona Community College along with video footage from my high school football games. I was awarded a scholarship to play college football and I left New Orleans to live in Arizona.

A self starter, with great leadership skills, I was chosen to be captain of our football team and was elected President of the Black Student Union. I began as a Criminal Justice major before switching to Education because I realized that my true passion was working with youth. I particularly wanted to impact the lives of disadvantaged youth in the inner city communities.

After graduating from Eastern Arizona Community College I was recruited by several universities, I was offered and accepted a full scholarship at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Each of these transitions required a great deal of adjustment for a young man from hot humid New Orleans moving to hot dry Arizona and then North to the cold, wet climate in Ohio. After graduating from Bowling Green, I anticipated that I would be drafted by the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys however they chose another player. Although I was disappointed, I moved on and signed a free agent contract with the San Diego Chargers.

My travels have led me to be affiliated with the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals and the Canadian football WLAF. After retiring from football I moved back to my hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana where I started I Am My Brother’s Keeper, a non-profit organization for at-risk boys. It was there that I got more involved with teaching life skills and the importance of fostering positive relationship.

My life’s journey has taken me on a very diverse path. It has allowed me to meet some of the world’s most intriguing people and travel to some unique places in the world. My customer service training at the Ritz Carlton has heightened my service skills to an unsurpassed level that allows me to exceed my guests every need. The experience with the brand name hotel and its five diamond heritage influence me to become a detailed and organized individual. My experience interning as a professional football coach with the Super Bowl Champions, New Orleans Saints reinforced the hard work and discipline that I have known and excelled in all my life. When I was an Orleans Parish Sheriff Deputy and Department of Corrections officer, I learned the value and importance of protecting society while transporting inmates. I developed the insight and training that eventually led to my security and protection career.

As you can see, every job has prepared me for a career in security and protection where I will serve my clients with the utmost respect, discipline and professionalism.
